“ ‘What profit is it to a (wo)man if (s)he gains the whole world, and loses his (her) own soul. Or what will a (wo)man give in exchange for his (her) soul’.” (Matthew 16 v 26)

We must offer our faith in Jesus.

Jesus as God’s Word, His fulfilled Promise.

We are redeemed at the †of Jesus,

But we have to know this to show this.

“ ‘...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow...and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father’.” (Philippians 2 v 11)

There is such disparity in society.

“ ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,

And honour Me with their lips,

But their hearts are far from Me.” (Matthew 15 v 8)

“ ‘Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one’.” (Luke 11 v 4)

“ ‘In vain they worship Me,

Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’.” (Matthew 15 v 8)

How very serious is this, realise and respond.

“ ‘Hear and understand’” (Matthew 5 v 10) what is God’s command.

“ ‘Not what goes into the mouth, defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man’.” (Matthew 15 v 11)

“ ‘If the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch... Are you still without understanding’?”

(Matthew 15 v 14, 16)

“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation, the fear of the Lord is His treasure.” (Isaiah 33 v 6)

Therefore let us pray.
